Ancrum Football Club 70th Anniversary Dinner

Jedburgh Town Hall was awash with the blue and yellow colours of Ancrum Football Club last Saturday when the club held their 70th Anniversary Dinner.

The Master of Ceremonies for the evening was Frank Campbell, who ran the evening with his usual efficiency.

A packed hall was entertained by Jack Charlton, who gave an amusing and enthralling account of the many facets of his life in football, and his other interests particularly, as a keen fisherman. His relaxed manner made him a pleasure to listen to.

As a result of the evening local and national charities benefitted to the tune of £2500; MacMillan Nurses MRI Scanner Appeal received £1000, Scottish Borders Special Olympics Group £500, and Jack's Disabled Anglers Trust £1000.

Thanks to all who supported the evening and to Jack in particular.
