The first organic gardening demonstration in Scotland explains how and why organic methods make the garden look more attractive.

You can see:

Tubs and Containers
A beautiful display of ornamentals showing which peat – free composts to use, trialling watering systems and all aspects of container growing.

The pond
This attracts wildlife to control garden pests.

Composting Demonstration Area
Twelve different methods are at work, including "TV" worms. Find out what to put in and what compost you'll get from it.

Weed Trials
The first ever investigation into how to eradicate horsetail organically. Four methods are to be used over a five year period to investigate the success of each method.

The Information Hut
Display Boards explain what is going on and leaflets and contact details provide you with all you need to know to apply the ideas in your own garden.
There is often a Borders Organic Gardeners member on hand to answer questions.

Open Daily from 9.30am till 5.30pm from March 1st to end October.
